Sessions around music, voice
and gender expression
Our voice has a strong impact on how we navigate the world. For transgender and gender-diverse individuals, the voice can sometimes bring significant challenges due to societal pressures and personal experiences with gender. At the same time, it can also be a meaningful gateway to recognition and joy.
Are you trans, non-binary, intersex, or exploring? Would you like to improvise with sound and music, and voice? Do you enjoy expressing what you feel about a piece of music, and are you interested in how others experience it?
Then Resonance is a unique opportunity for you!
Over five group sessions, we will playfully explore musical improvisation, sound and gender expression together. In a relaxed setting, you can discover what feels right for you at your own pace, and you are welcome to let your voice be heard without judgment or pressure. No musical experience is needed; the main goal of Resonance is simply to have fun together and connect with others! The workshops are aimed at adults and young adults who identify as trans or gender-diverse. The sessions will be held in both Dutch and English (with simultaneous translation).
