T*ender testo stories - space of mutual support for trans* people on testosterone

T*ender testo stories is a series of gatherings that originates from an urgent need and shared desire to create an irl* space where we aim to create mutual support among trans* people currently taking testosterone or curious about it.

In a time when t is getting more and more inaccessible or harder to obtain due to prices, bureaucracy and/or controlled distribution, a time when official medical institutions are more often than not gatekeepers, self-organizing tools become practical and political necessities.

Thought of as guided conversations, where we (Eris & Dagmar) don’t claim to hold any truths or expertise knowledge: we gather precisely to collectivize our common questions, resources and texts that were impactful for us – realizing our knowledge gets stronger when built collectively and in community. Together we want to collect, document and imagine alternative ways of accessing care as well as support each other beyond institutional systems.

Our first meeting will be on August 13th from 6.30 to 9pm at One Field Fallow. In this one, we’d love to discuss the questions:

Which answers do we seek by self-gathering and organising? How can we hold our needs together? How can we sustain a relationship based on sharing needs? How to make a space where we can nurture these relationships?

Does this resonate with you? Please fill in our form and we hope to see you there! <3
